Support for Sheebah and children in Uganda after tragic loss
Donation protected
Our dearest Ugandan community collaborator and friend, George Bugando, has unexpectedly passed away. He leaves behind his young wife, Sheebah, and two children: Peace (3 1/3 years old) and baby Hope (9 months old). George’s family lives on the edge of poverty. They rely on subsistence farming and raising cattle, which George oversaw. They live in a small mud hut with no electricity or running water. The loss of George is devastating for his family, and I want to send a gift to help ease their burden. Funeral costs in Uganda are significant, and Sheebah is now facing increased financial uncertainty including food insecurity and reduced potential to save for her children to attend school in the future (school is not free in Uganda). George’s brother is taking care of Sheebah and her children, but resources are scarce. If you are able to contribute to our gift, a little money goes a long way in Uganda, and it would be so appreciated. Any funds above and beyond their need will be put toward providing access to clean, safe drinking water in Bugando community where the family lives. Thank you so much for your support!
