On December 19th, my best friend, Shena Garcia was struck by a motor vehicle while crossing a street on her way home. She suffered a concussion and broken pelvis. She has limited movement in her right arm, swollen joints, and immense pain. She is currently in the hospital and is just starting therapy. Sadly, this is only the beginning of her journey back to the life she knew.

Shena is a great friend and wonderful sister/daughter. She is a hard worker, an awesome bartender, and most importantly, a great mom. Unfortunately, she is a mom who is now struggling to figure out how she’s going to pay her bills, make rent, and provide for her children knowing she may be out of work for several months- not to mention the hospital bills that will be piling up.
