Help us lay Shenayah to rest

Burying a child is something no parent should ever have to go through, yet here we are, grieving the sudden & unexpected passing of Shenayah, at only 26 years young.

Shenayah's official cause of death remains unknown. At the time of her passing she was in hospital receiving treatment for mental health, however she had no health conditions that would have contributed to heart failure, which makes the whole situation harder to understand.

Shenayah was a character to say the least, she was loud, funny, and a kind-hearted young woman with her whole life ahead of her. She was of proud Indigenous heritage.

Her passing has left a hole in our hearts and lives. As her family, we are committed to giving her the burial and funeral she deserves—a chance to honor her spirit and say goodbye surrounded by love, family, and community.

The estimated costs of her funeral and burial total approximately $25,000, and we are seeking support to help cover part of these expenses. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly towards honoring Shenayah’s memory and providing her with the farewell she deserves.
