Help for Dep. Reudelhuber Killed in Line of Duty
Donation protected
Dear Community,
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) is grieving the loss of one of our own, Deputy Sheriff II Auston Smith Reudelhuber, who tragically lost his life while serving on duty. We are reaching out to you, our extended family, and our Community for support during this difficult time.
On the morning of 09/09/2023, Deputy Reudelhuber was driving his patrol vehicle, when he was struck by a box truck in the line of duty. Despite the immediate response from first responders, Deputy Reudelhuber succumbed to his injuries at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
Deputy Auston Reudelhuber was more than just a dedicated law enforcement officer; he was a beloved member of our FCSO family. At 32 years old, he had been with us since March 29, 2021, serving as a Field Training Officer in the Field Services Division. Before joining our ranks, Auston proudly served the Davidson County Sheriff's Office for over three years and dedicated six years to the United States Army serving in Afghanistan.
Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough, Jr., expressed our collective sorrow, stating, "It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of one of our own. Deputy Sheriff Auston Reudelhuber was killed this morning in a fatal car crash. We are asking for prayers for the Reudelhuber family and our FCSO Family. Together we stand, and together we will get through this, with the support from our Community."
We now turn to our compassionate Community for help during this challenging time. Your support can make a world of difference to Deputy Reudelhuber's the beautiful family he left behind, who are grieving and facing unforeseen burdens.
