Support for Sherry Taylor's Family in Tragedy

My name is Penny and our family needs your help. On Sunday 7/7/24, my sister Sherry Taylor was on her way to pick me up from work. She called me at 10:02pm and said, 'I'm running a few minutes late but I'm right down the street.' I said, 'Ok, see you in a min. I love you,' and she said, 'Love you too,' as we always said. She never arrived. I was calling her phone over and over again, but it went to voicemail every time.
I waited almost 2 hours because I knew she would never leave me at work. I then called an Uber and spent the whole ride wondering where my sister was. I wasn't home for 5 minutes when I got the call from the Elyria Police Department telling me my sister had been involved in an accident and asked if he could come to my home to talk to me. I instantly fell to my knees to ask God why? I just knew in my heart she was going to be okay.
Well, two men, the driver being intoxicated, ran a red light and drove straight into my sister's car, striking her at such a rate of speed it killed her instantly. My sister didn't have a chance, due to the carelessness of the driver who chose to drive drunk. My sister wasn't only my sister; she was a mother, a grandmother, a wife with a beautiful soul. She wouldn't hurt a fly. She had just struggled with the loss of her daughter on 1/22/24 who was only 28 years old.
Sherry did not deserve this. She was getting ready to graduate from LCCC in the fall with a degree to be a social worker. She always tried to help others and this was definitely the field for her. Our family needs help. We were not prepared for this horrific accident to happen to her by the man that chose to drink and drive. Anything at this time will help. Thank you and god bless.
