Support for Stacy Miller

Beloved, long-time Brent teacher Stacy Miller, is in the midst of her cancer treatment - she has already conquered several rounds of chemo (while still showing up for her Pre-K kiddos), and will soon be undergoing major surgery.

With her treatment beginning last November, Stacy exhausted all her paid leave by March of this year, meaning every day she has had to take off for chemo, and will have to take off for her surgery, is not only unpaid, but will also leave her without her summer salary (due to the way teachers' salaries are allocated across the calendar year).

We want Stacy's sole focus to be on a full, rapid recovery so she can focus on her health and her family, and get back to doing what she loves (and what she does so brilliantly) - educating the tiniest Brent Bears - which will be difficult if she also has to worry about medical bills and lost income.

Stacy has given so much to the Brent community over multiple decades, and while we hate that it is under these circumstances, we have the opportunity to repay that dedication in some small way by supporting her financially during such a stressful time.
