Support for Stamatis ❤️

Hello everyone

Recently our hearts were shattered by the news of our beautiful friends’ 3-year-old little boy being diagnosed with Wilms Tumour. Wilms tumour is a rare type of kidney cancer that most commonly affects young children.

Stamatis Maestracci is a happy 3-year-old little boy who loves playing Super Mario with his older brother Vincent who he misses spending time with very much.

In November 2022, the unexpected happened and he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Wilms Tumour (Kidney Cancer) with metastasis in his lungs and near his heart. The family have had to travel to Adelaide as treatment is not available in the Northern Territory.

So far, this brave little warrior has had his affected kidney and lymph nodes removed and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment at the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital.

Both parents, Alex Maestracci and Voula Pastrikos have had their world turned upside down after hearing this dreadful diagnosis. Together as a community, we hope to raise funds to help fund day-to-day expenses so their family can focus on their time together during Stamati’s treatment and ease their financial burden.
