Support for Steph and Family
Spende geschützt
Hi my name is Aimee, the unimaginable happened to my mum on Saturday 8th June at 1am in Alicante. As we were preparing to leave to fly home in the next few hours my mum become seriously unwell and had a seizure. Myself and my siblings witnessed this and me and my sister ran downstairs to the hotel reception to get help. Once the ambulance arrived I stayed with my mum until we arrived at the private hospital. Before they would conduct any treatment I had to ring my auntie and uncle for help whilst in a great deal of distress myself. They had to transfer £3000.00 before placing my mum into intensive care. My Dats caught the next available flight at 6am and once he arrived at the hospital he was informed that there could be further costs. We were able to sort her insurance during this time and she was transferred to a public hospital. After many tests, it was discovered that she had a ruptured aneurysm and needed urgent brain surgery. She had her surgery on Monday 10th June and although the operation went well she is still in a very critical condition in intensive care.
Whilst she is being supported in Alicante by my dats, uncles and her partner, I just want to try and do something to help support my family whilst I’m back in Wales.
My mum is only 42 and me and my brothers and sister need her to wake up and fight to get better so she can come home to us.
My mum is the most selfless person in the whole world and has always put others before herself and now I’m asking for help for her when she needs it the most. She’s worked as a nurse herself, a midwife and then a bereavement midwife supporting families.
I want to raise as much money as I can to relieve the financial pressures of my family so that a family member can stay with my mum.
I would just like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read my story and for any money you can spare.
Love Aimee, Ellie, Jude & Beau (Gucci our dog)
