Support for Stephanie Pamplin & Family
Donation protected
Monday, December 11th, our mom Stephanie felt sick and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. When she arrived at the emergency room, her vitals were not compatible with life. She had hypothermia with a body temperature of 87, severe kidney failure, and was septic. She was immediately sedated and intubated and moved to the ICU as soon as a bed came available. The doctors couldn't find any answers as to what was causing her infection and kidney failure for the first couple of days. The doctors had been wanting to get her in for a CT since she arrived, but she hadn't been stable enough to go until Thursday morning. The CT results ruled out any internal bleeding they thought might be present, showed fluid around her lungs, and she has pneumonia on top of Strep B -still they aren't exactly sure what is causing her to be so sick. She has a pulmonologist, a nephrologist, an infectious disease doctor, and an internal medicine doctor all part of her treatment team trying to get more answers. They are currently treating her with antibiotics to fight the infections and doing bloodwork daily. Her body reacts very well to the CRT, but they are trying to ween her off of it completely. She is making small improvements everyday and doctors say she is pretty much on cruise control until something gives.
Any money donated will go to support our family during this time and any medical bills she might have. Due to our Dad not having paid leave, expenses will be tight until our parents are back on their feet. He is at the hospital around the clock and isn't leaving without our Momma. We appreciate everyones thoughts, prayers, and support during this time.
