Support for Stephen Lytton's Cancer Battles
Hi, I'm Tara (Lytton) Cochran and I am Stephen's (some of you may know him as Steve) sister. Together, with Stephen's family, we are asking for support for his cancer battles.
Stephen was diagnosed shortly before his 49th birthday this year with adenocarcinoma, which for him means lung cancer. It is stage 4/terminal. He also has a rare blood cancer and these cancers have spread to tissue and bone in other places in his body. This has been devastating news to the entire Lytton family, including Stephen's wife, Dawna, and his daughter Brianna, son-in-law Ryan, and granddaughter, Kathrynn. My brother has always been very active in his job, loves working in the yard/gardening, grilling and cooking, and maintaining several types of aquariums. He was the sole breadwinner for his family for the past couple of years. Due to being sick and in pain, he is unable to work and has had his benefits terminated through his job. He could not qualify for disability programs through his former employer due to not meeting criteria for length of time with that particular company. Without any type of possible income, he is unable to pay rent or mortgage, not to mention medical bills, medication, assistive living devices, or hospice and final arrangements. My mom, Joyce (retired), is currently caring for Stephen in her home and is primarily paying up front for his COBRA insurance. Stephen's number one worry and hope is that he does not leave his family with a financial burden of any kind.
Stephen has started chemotherapy, and takes heavy pain medications to battle these aggressive cancers. He is quite positive despite a grave prognosis and immense pain, but does face a battle ahead. We are asking you to help give him some peace of mind and donate financially at this time. There may be other ways you can help as treatment progresses, but he just does not have a lot of time left so the most urgent need is now.
Our family is incredibly thankful for the prayers and well wishes we have already received on Stephen's behalf and ask that you keep them going. We will not give up hope for a miracle and believe that your support will be a huge encouragement to Stephen!
