Support for Stephen Pittman
My brother, Stephen Pittman, was involved in a high speed, high impact hit-and-run on his motorcycle on Thursday (July 30). He was hit and flung into a retaining wall causing extensive injuries. They will need financial help, as of course this is going to be very costly. Stephen works on a contract, so he won’t be paid during this time. His wife, Erin has just gone back to work after being laid off since March due to COVID-19.
Stephen’s left clavicle is broken. His right foot is broken in three places. He underwent surgery 7/31 for his foot which required lots of screws and pins. He has an awful bone contusion on his left shin that prevents him from bearing weight. He’s covered in bruises, lacerations, and road rash.
While he is completely miserable, we are all so grateful that he is alive. This is going to be a long and difficult recovery, and a huge financial burden. If you are able to help he and Erin in any way, we would so appreciate it.
