Support for Steve and Feebi

I created this fundraiser without the knowledge of Mr. Nawojczyk. 

I first met Steve while I was a Corps member for City Year, Little Rock, where we served in Title 1 schools. Steve was very supportive of City Year and came in one day as a guest speaker. From that day forward, he became a friend and mentor to me (and many others throughout his lifetime).

Steve has dedicated his life to giving and helping others from all walks of life. From EMT, to Coroner, to his work with DYHS and countless volunteering. He was featured in the documentary "GangWars - Bangin' in Little Rock" back in 1994, where there, you will see his call to action in action. Whether its someone he knows or a complete stranger, Steve has always put others before himself. 

Steve's rescue dog, Feebi, has suddenly taken ill. Below is something I pulled from a  recent post written by Steve describing the impact Feebi has had on his life. Between emergency vet bills and some much needed repairs to his home, he needs our help. It's time for us to give back to Steve, the heart he has given away his entire life. 

"Feebi has been with me through a heart attack and a battle with cancer. She was always there ready to let me rub her sweet soft face and to urge me to hurry and get better. For the last five years, if I am in my vehicle going anywhere, she is with me and we loved taking you along with us. She knew our routes, loved to run free in the woods and she always loved to pose and play Find Feebi. She has been my only companion for a long time. She was my balance in life. She knew when I needed to go to the woods and she would pester me until we went. She was the one who understood me better than anyone else."
