#There4Sue - Sue Schmidt (Linell) Cancer Support
Donation protected
I have known Sue and her incredible family for 30 years and am reaching out to ask for your help in easing the financial stress and burden that comes with a diagnosis of breast cancer and it's treatment so that Sue can focus on fighting her cancer and winning that fight. This is my way of being #there4Sue.
September 30, 2020, Sue Schmidt (nee Zarembinski, Linell) received the news that she has Stage 2B, Grade 3, Triple Negative, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) breast cancer. Her recommended treatment is aggressive chemotherapy that has already begun (October 15th). Following a 2-part chemo regimen, Sue will then take on surgery and from there, additional treatment may be necessary. Please follow Sue's journey on her CaringBridge site, this site will provide detailed information on Sue's treatment and progress.
Sue is one of the most selfless people that I know. I have several stories throughout my life where Sue has stepped in with her generous heart and helped pull me out of sad times and joyfully celebrate with me during the great times.
Sue's selflessness is unwavering and I know her to be a Mother and Grandmother that goes above and beyond for her children and grandchildren, she'll sacrifice anything for them. Her love and devotion to being a helpful matriarch led Sue to generously put her own career and needs aside and became a full-time "granny-nanny" to her grandchildren.
Helping her children by caring for her grandchildren has incredible emotional rewards (of which Sue is exceptionally deserving) however, receiving a cancer diagnosis can be financially difficult upfront along with continued needs down her path to recovery and being able to care for her grandchildren is something that will need to be put on hold.
I cannot imagine not lending Sue a helping hand like she has done for me so many times throughout my life. My wish for Sue is that she can just focus on her battle ahead, fight hard and strong, and win it with the strength I know she has. I know there are many that share in my desire to help Sue through her battle.
I realize it is a difficult time for many and if you are so able, please donate to help Sue pay for chemotherapy treatment, medications, surgery, and doctor's visits. Let's rally and be #there4Sue!
