Support for Surgery: A Mom's Plea

Story from Mom: Three days after my daughter was born in Honduras, she had a fever, and I took her to the hospital where they admitted her for an infection. There, the pediatrician diagnosed her with congenital heart disease. She was hospitalized for 22 days. Then I started going around hospitals hoping to find a solution for what my daughter had. I went to El Salvador for the same reason, to Bloom Hospital in the capital, and they told me that the girl had no hope because they did not have enough equipment or the indicated specialists to perform the surgery that my daughter needed. The only diagnosis I received was how much time she had left to live. Years passed, and the only thing they gave her was 10 mg of propranolol daily. There was no hope of anything else. Until God allowed my daughter the opportunity to travel to the United States with her father, a man who has always been a responsible father to his daughters at all times, especially with the girl because of her heart condition. That's how she embarked on the journey to the United States, always trusting in God to take care of her and for a miracle to get her the help she needs, which she didn't have in Honduras.

We are thankful for the doctors. My daughter underwent a catheterization last year, and this time, open-heart surgery. Thank God, everything went well, and I am very grateful. The surgery has helped her a lot because before, her oxygen level was at 70, and now with the surgery, it has gone up to 82 and 85. The doctor says that he expects her blood oxygen to reach 90. May God bless the lives of all the specialists who performed the surgery.

But financially, we could use a lot of help right now. Anything is appreciated during these hard financial times to help cover hospital and medication expenses. The journey is not over; she is also getting another surgery a year from now.
