Support for Surviving Disabled Child of Sheila

Donation protected
Emily: Hello everyone. I'm sad to say that my grandmother Sheila Barrett has passed away sometime in the last few days unexpectedly. Now Sheila's surviving adult son Patrick is in the care of my cousin Shanna Hardin. Patrick is blind and autistic and can not live on his own. We are scrambling to make all the arrangements. It can take months to have all of the disability and other government aid for my Uncle Patrick will need to be transferred to Shanna. My Uncle Patrick likes to record everything on a voice recorder and play it back. He needs a lot of blank cassette tapes for this reason. He also needs childrens toys that make noise and sing. He will also need batteries for them. Shanna is in need of other safety devices that can protect Patrick in their home like baby gates among other things. Other than the expenses of taking in a disabled adult Shanna also needs to raise about $1,400 for the cremation. This needs to be set up by the end of today in order to have my grandma transferred to the funeral home.

Aunt Barbara: Sadley my mother died suddenly and unexpected yesterday. Our family is scrambling to make arrangements for my niece to take my blind and autistic brother Patrick into her home and make the necessary changes to her home to make it safe for Patrick to live there the rest of his life. In lieu of flowers or even sympathy cards, please donate to my nieces "Go Fund Me" page. Thank you

Shanna: I am in severe need of help from my family and friends for the next couple weeks. My grandma unexpectedly passed away sometime yesterday. We found her in her bed after she wasn’t answering us. It was considered a crime scene and we are waiting for the autopsy. I am now the guardian of my handicapped uncle, who I was raised with. He is like a brother to me. He is blind and autistic. This is a huge change for him. He’s never known anything other than the house he was raised in. I am in desperate need of clothing, a rocking chair, a twin bed and frame, any old tapes or CDs anyone has, a radio that plays tapes/CDs, blank cassette tapes, baby gates, any little kid toy that makes noise, and I’m sure other things but I cannot think straight right now. My main concern is a bed and clothes. If anyone has any men’s clothes size large or extra large they don’t need anymore please please please let me know. I will come get them. Same with the twin mattress and bed frame. I am not one to come on here and beg for help, but I need it. People who know me know my nanny and poppop raised me. I lost my granddad in 2020. Now my grandma. I am not okay and really need some help.
