Support for Susan Swan Esposito

Friend and fellow San Juan Islander Susan Swan Esposito needs our help!

Many of you may recognize Susan as the FedEx delivery person always bringing a smile and happy conversation to her deliveries around the island. Or you have shared happy experiences with her in the great outdoors on a geocaching adventure or with a Pokemon Go group. She and her daughter April are fourth generation islanders. As many of you know, Susan was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last year and underwent extensive treatments.

Unfortunately, on January 1, 2024, things took a turn for the worse. A CaringBridge sight has been set up where you can read more.

Susan was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where it was determined the cancer had spread, and two surgeries were performed to relieve pressure from her brain. She continues to reside at Harborview where she is being kept comfortable and well cared for. Some very dear friends have been staying by her side and offering support.

Our goal in fundraising is to help cover costs so her daughter, April, can stay in Seattle and be of comfort to Susan during this time. Susan and April are very close as mom and daughter, and having April by her side is what is really needed at this time.

Funds would be used to cover housing, travel expense, food, and other needs so April can stay close to her mom. Funds would also be used for any final expenses that incur. Thank you in advance for you support!
