Support for Sweet Ang's Recovery After Brutal Attack

Angelina—affectionately known by those who love her as Sweet Ang—was the victim of a brutal and unprovoked assault outside her home in Vancouver’s Chinatown. She had been sitting on the front steps with her cat Leonard when she was suddenly attacked by three individuals in a horrifying act of violence.

Since that day, Ang has been unable to return to work and has no access to short-term disability benefits. She continues to struggle with the emotional, psychological, and physical aftermath of the attack. The healing process has been slow, painful, and isolating—made even harder by financial uncertainty.

Ang isn't the only one affected.

Her cat Leonard—a quirky, loving, and remarkably outgoing Sphynx who is as much a part of her heart as he is her home—was also caught in the chaos. Once known for his larger-than-life personality, Leonard now spends his days in hiding, visibly shaken and afraid. The contrast is heartbreaking. He’s physically healing, but emotionally, the trauma lingers.
