“Hello Friends and Family, 2019 ended with some of the hardest days of our lives. Never in a million years did we think we would be dealing with this. Tabitha went to ER on Friday, Dec 20th with what we all thought was a possible blood clot but we didn't know where. After some scans in ER they told us she had a brain bleed and a possible blood clot in her brain. She was admitted to the ICU unit in the hospital. After 5 long days of testing, multiple CT Scans, MRI's, and a lumbar puncture we were told that Tabitha had a mass on her brain and they needed to do a brain biopsy. On Christmas Eve, Tabby went in for the brain biopsy which took about 3 hours including prep time. The doctor called Justin back after the surgery and told him the devastating news nobody wants to hear. Tabitha has brain cancer..... The doctor said that two doctors looked at the biopsy and agreed that is what she has but they needed to send it off to pathology to know 100% for sure. We were all rocked to the core as this all came as such a shock. Why Tabitha? How did this happen? She was fine last week? None of it made any sense. They released Tabitha from the hospital late in the afternoon on Christmas Day. On Dec, 31st, yes New Years Eve, Tabitha and Justin had their first appt with the Oncologist. The Oncologist confirmed that Tabitha does have brain cancer. It's called Astrocytoma - grade 2. Grade 2 means it's slow growing. This type of cancer is not curable but treatable. Tabitha is being referred to UCSF in San Francisco which is considered a world class hospital for brain cancer.”

Our sweet Tabitha and her family need our support now more than ever. The costs associated with her treatment will be substantial. Our hope is that together, we can take the financial burden off of the family.
