My name is Taiheem Wentt, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. Last Monday, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered three strokes. These events have led to an extended stay at Bellevue Hospital, where I have been receiving critical care since Thursday evening. I am currently working on regaining my strength in my right side as well as speaking without stuttering due to a forgetful memory and small seizures.

As I navigate through this challenging time, my thoughts are not only on my recovery but also on the wellbeing of my beloved family — Destiny, my spouse of twelve years and our two incredible children Serenity and Sapphire. The medical expenses are mounting rapidly since I am un eligible for Medicaid due to exceeding their max income per month due to my unemployment benefits, and the reality of the situation is that my family is facing financial pressures that we could have never anticipated.
