Support for Talyn

I had the privilege of having this sweet kiddo in my class. Talyn is one of the most caring kids you will meet. He loves his family and animals, and all his friends.

Talyn is just a normal 10-year boy who loves to play video games, go swimming, and playing with his best friend next door. He loves animals of all kinds, but one his favorite is cats. He always says he wants to pet them all. He has one of the biggest hearts that are out there, but he is very shy till you get to know him a little bit.

His story begins with a little pain in the side of his face right beside his eye with a small bump the first part of March 2023. To being rushed to the ER at the Children's Hospital in Denver by the end of march. We were told that Talyn has LCH (Langerhans cell Histiocytosis), and he has a tumor that has eroded his bone all the way to his brain cavity and putting pressure on his brain. He will have to go through at least 1 year of chemo. With his last scans they no longer see his tumor but we have to continue chemo treatments every 3 weeks to make sure the cells do not make more tumors. He goes for scans this month to make sure the tumor is not growing back with the treatments every 3 weeks. Once chemo is done, he will have to go back for scans for many years to come. Right now, he is in good health and is doing a lot of the things he used to. Talyn wants his story to be heard so that other kids know there are others out there that are fighting the same battle. You are never alone.
