Support for the Ames Family

Last month, Scott Ames died tragically after a heroic battle with Lymphoma. Scott personified what it means to be a mensch. Yes, he was an accomplished lawyer, skier, and tennis player, but he will forever be defined by his warmth, kindness, and sense of humor. Above all, Scott relished his roles as Amy’s husband and as Gideon and Goldie’s father. Husband. Lawyer. Friend. Scott had that rare gift of finding ways to connect with anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Amy, Gideon, and Goldie have received profound support from our community. It is not surprising people still have the desire to support and are insisting we create an easy way to do it. Contributions here will go towards the children’s lessons, tournaments, tutoring, teams, tuition, and any endeavors that will provide Gideon and Goldie an opportunity to succeed and excel in their sports and education...Scott’s greatest wish.

So many of you have donated to food delivery, cooked us meals, schlepped the kids all over (and even out of) town to events, and given us endless emotional support. This generosity astounds me and has left me speechless. It helps us carry this heavy load of grief. The three of us are still very much in a state of disbelief. The loss of our protector, provider, champion, and supporter is so much for us to bear. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
