Support for the Barrick Family – Hadley’s Fight Against Cancer
Many of you know Hadley Barrick was admitted to the Children’s Hospital at Hershey Medical Center last Wednesday with what we initially thought was pneumonia. After days of tests, X-rays, and surgeries for biopsies, removal fluid around her heart, chest tube etc. the brave, sweet 12-year-old with her family around her was told today that she has cancer. As she awaits further testing, including a bone marrow test next week, Hadley will soon move to the oncology floor for ongoing care and treatment. Heather has not left her side.
Hadley is a fierce fighter, filled with strength beyond her years, and right now, she and her family need our support. Her parents, Josh and Heather (my sister) are full-time swine and dairy farmers with three other children at home. The journey ahead will involve extensive medical care, treatments, and many trips to and from the hospital, creating a significant financial burden on the family.
We are reaching out to friends, family, and our community to come together for this wonderful family. Your support—whether in the form of donations, prayers, or simply sharing this message—will help lighten the load for Josh, Heather, and their family, allowing them to focus on what matters most: helping Hadley fight and recover.
If you’re able, please consider donating to support Hadley and her family through this incredibly challenging time. Your generosity and prayers mean the world to them, and we have faith that with our support, Hadley’s spirit and resilience will shine through.
Thank you from the bottom of our family's hearts for standing with Hadley and the Barrick family. More updates to come. At this time, please give the family some space and time to digest their next steps. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.
