Support for the Barta Family

My name is Hillary Barta-Smith and Stacey Barta is a dear friend and coworker. Stacey and her husband Michael are the very proud parents of three beautiful children--Bridget (10), Luke (4), and Greta (2). Bridget was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome four short years ago. The fatal diagnosis was devastating, but compassionate supporters rallied together to provide the Barta family with the love and financial assistance they needed to adjust to their new life. 

While we have all known the reality of Bridget's diagnosis, it's hard to accept that Bridget's life on earth is soon coming to an end. Stacey and Michael will be spending every precious moment they can with Bridget, and will continue to take time away from their jobs as they work through the immense grief that comes with losing a child. Unfortunately, much of the time off they will need to take will be unpaid. 

It is time, once again, to rally around the Bartas. The money from this fundraiser will be used to support the Bartas' income as they take the unpaid leave needed to support each other. Your financial support will allow the Barta family to focus on every sacred moment they have with Bridget and their journey through grief when Bridget becomes an angel.
