Support for the Ben Berning family

Dear Friends & Family,

Those of you that are fortunate enough to know Ben and Becky Berning may be aware that Ben is battling lung cancer. It was found earlier this summer and has quickly gone on to extensively metastasize. His treatment started at St. Rita. Initial chemo, radiation and immunotherapy was ineffective and the cancer continues to spread. So their journey has moved on to the James Cancer Center at Ohio State in hopes that a treatment can be found.

Ben and Becky are parents to four wonderful children, ages 13 to 4. They are faithful members of Sacred Heart Parish in McCartyville, Ohio.

They are hard working, giving people who never hesitate to reach out to help others. Ben has been unable to work for some time, and Becky has had to take time off work to be with Ben in Columbus and keep things going at home. They’ve given of themselves time and time again, now they could use a helping hand.

If you can offer any financial donation, that’s great! But if you can’t that’s okay, please just pray, pray, pray for Ben, Becky and their children. Thank you!

Update: 

With a heavy heart, I need to share that Ben lost his battle with cancer on Friday, September 16, 2022. I will continue to keep this fundraiser active, to help manage financial burden and allow the Berning family time to heal and cope through their tragic loss with one less worry.
