Support for the Boose Family

My step-father Tim is hard-working and would do anything for his family. He is the caretaker for my mother (his wife), who is in end-stage COPD. He also recently became the caregiver for his mother, who has health issues and can no longer live independently. He is the sole provider for his family as a private transporter. Recently, the truck he uses to transport items across the United States broke down while he was on a cross-country haul. The first mechanic that performed the repairs took roughly four weeks to repair the truck, only to tell him that after $3,000, they did not fix the problem. The truck was undrivable, so it had to be transported to a new shop in his home state, which cost another $3,000. Once at the new shop, they correctly diagnosed the issue as a hole in the cylinder. The cost to fix this is an additional $7,000. Tim has been unable to work for eight weeks and counting due to this. The cost of these repairs and the lack of income has put them in a financial bind.
