Support for the Carter family after the Eaton fire
Donation protected
My name is Thomas Carter. This past Tuesday (1/7/2025), my wife Tracy and I, like so many others, were affected by the Eaton fire. We were in the city of Altadena, where we have lived since 1992, raising two kids, Chris and Courtney, and where Tracy grew up, going to Loma Alta Elementary, Eliot Jr. High, and Muir High School. Fires had threatened the area several times over the years. However, this time was different. The intensity of the winds created a situation that overwhelmed the amazing efforts of the emergency responders, to whom we are truly grateful and keep in our prayers as their efforts to date are ongoing.
We reminisce, of course; however, the moving forward starts immediately. As daunting as the thought of navigating through all of this, we are truly encouraged and grateful for the concern shown by family, friends, and even strangers.
We're asking for donations mainly to aid us in the early stages of this transition. Fortunately, we were able to get quite a bit of clothing. The pressing issues will be food, other necessities, and of course housing, which will be temporary until we're able to find something permanent.
Anything you are able to give will be welcomed with sincere gratitude.
From Tracy and me, as well as Chris and Courtney, we can't thank you enough for your kindness, support, and many prayers.
