Support for the construction of the Church

Toucountouna is one of the smallest communes in Benin, West Africa, my home country. Toucountouna is known for its high animist practices in the country. Therefore, spiritual warfare is a reality in this village. Nevertheless, the ministry of the Evangelical Christian Bible Church has been spreading the good news of salvation, a free gift from Jesus Christ our Saviour, since 1998.
At first, the saved people met in one of the believers' flats. Then they built an air shed for their worship. Finally, in 1999, the villagers sold their crops to obtain land and build a small church that could only accommodate 50 people. Today, the church has grown to about 180 adult members. In addition, the children's ministry has about 50 children.
Two years ago, Pastor Enock and his team came together to build a larger church that could accommodate many members, up to 250 worshipers at a time. But unfortunately, the project has stalled at the current level because of Covid and the villagers' financial budget.
Church members have raised up to $700 between them. This means they are currently $3300 short of the total construction budget of $4000.
