Support for the DeJong Family

Hi, my name is Lori McGraw. This is a picture of my niece Julie, her husband Brandon, and their sweet daughter Elinor. Their lives changed on October 4 when Brandon was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. While in the hospital for observation, his chest CT caught something on his liver. After more imaging and a liver biopsy, it was confirmed to be cancer metastasized from somewhere. More scans and the final diagnosis was stage 4 colon cancer.

Brandon has been through two rounds of chemotherapy. Each round bringing new complications to the table. Side effects that were described as "possible but not probable" seemed to keep occurring. Another round of scans revealed that the cancer was extremely aggressive and spreading into more organs. With the side effects weakening Brandon and the chemotherapy not being able to catch up with the cancer, Brandon and Julie have decided to spend the rest of Brandon's days together with their daughter. Funds raised will be used for medical bills and additional expenses. Please join me in supporting this family as they travel down this unthinkable path.
