Support for the family of Alex and Mike

**UPDATE**

Alex has returned home and is receiving supports in-home for a brain injury and broken pelvis. Donations will support medical supplies and assisted devices so Alex can continue to heal at home.

Alex has been moved from the ICU and is residing at Victoria Children’s Hospital. Alex is receiving care for a brain injury and broken pelvis. Alex will require rehabilitation and could be transferred to a facility that offers suitable services such as Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto in the coming weeks.

On September 17 2024 Mike succumbed to his injuries. Alex remains in intensive care. This GoFundMe will also support end-of-life expenses for Mike.

On the evening of September 11, 2024 Alex (13 yr old) and her dad Mike (30 yr old) were on their way to McDonalds and were involved in a motorcycle accident. Both are in intensive care and are in critical condition.

Alex has an amazing sense of humor with an infectious smile. She loves to tell stories and is just so silly and makes everyone laugh.

Mike is the type of guy who would help you if you needed it whether you were a friend or stranger. Always cracking jokes and wanting to share fun experiences with family and friends.

My name is Kelly and I have started this fundraiser to assist my sister Ashley in this very difficult time. Mike is the main financial support to this family of 7. This fundraiser is to assist in additional transportation costs, rent, food, other living expenses while the family is navigating this terrible and uncertain time.

At the moment there is much uncertainty and the family is taking it a day at a time.
