Support for the family of Andrew Milner

Donation protected
On April 23, 2019 we received word that Andrew Milner died in a canoe accident near Cranbrook, British Columbia. Although his hometown may have been Antigonish, Nova Scotia, his athletics led him far and wide. Andrew has touched the lives of so many people from coast to coast and his community of family, friends, neighbours and teammates has been rocked by this loss. He graduated from Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) in New Brunswick and went on to play for the Dinos at the University of Calgary.

Andrew is often associated with his numerous accomplishments on the basketball court, but his impact on those around him goes so much deeper. Not only was he an incredibly talented athlete but he was also a wonderful young man. Andrew was a loyal friend and teammate with a sense of adventure. Although Andrew found homes in other provinces he always made it a point to stay connected with his friends and family in Nova Scotia. Having grown up in a small town he always maintained humility and a sense of pride in his roots. His humble nature was a product of the unwavering love and support that flowed between him and his family. Andrew leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication and fun.

These funds are to help offset the cost of bringing Andrew home to Nova Scotia. While these funds can’t fill the hole he has left in the hearts of so many, it is our hope that it will enable the family to heal without the financial burden associated with expenses from his unimaginable tragedy.
