Support for the family of Landon Wevers
Donation protected
Update 04-12-24:
We did it. We did it!
This morning, we reached our goal of support for Landon's family, offically surpassing $25K in donations. A giant and heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every person who contributed.
Dawn, Stan and the family got home with Landon late last night/early this morning. They are weary travellers, tired from the burden of grief and distance, and are comforted to be back home and turning their attention to Saturday's events. Jon and his family have been working hard on preparations for Saturday to make it a perfect reflection of Landon. It will be sad, for sure -- but also beautiful celebration of who Landon was and all the joy be brought to the world.
The GFM will "end" on Sunday, December 8th. We hope this gives enough time for the remaining folks who wish to participate to make their contributions, while respecting the fact that there are other worthy families, causes and events in need of support and attention.
Thank you, everyone.

It is with enormous grief and shattered hearts that we ask for your help supporting the family of Landon Wevers (Stony Plain, AB), who passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 26, in a tragic accident while vacationing with his family in Mexico.
At just 21, Landon was a hardworking but fun-loving young man, showing incredible drive and determination to achieve his goals. He had so much left to do and accomplish, and now his loved ones are left to navigate a world without his smile and his spirit.
Everyone who knows and loves Landon is in a state of shock, disbelief and incredible sadness. He leaves behind a large circle of family and many friends from his work, school days at Memorial and many soccer seasons. His family is still in Mexico, trying to get home. Landon's passing outside of Canada has come with added complications and costs, and getting him repatriated to Canada while struggling with his loss is an uphill battle no family should have to face.
For those who know Landon’s family, you are well aware that they are proud, strong, independent and give more than they ever take. But now, they need and deserve our support. Through this campaign, we hope to raise enough money to create space for them to concentrate on learning to live with this profound loss, without the weight of finances sitting on their shoulders.
Please consider donating whatever you are in a position to offer, no matter how large or small the amount.
If you can’t donate during these challenging financial times, we simply ask you to keep the Spracklin and Wevers families in your hearts and prayers.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to remember and honour Landon.
