Subject: Support for the Family of Masoom Ali Faraz
Dear Friends,
My name is Wasim Akram Shaik, and along with my close friends—Anas Mohammed, Syed Jameel, Abdul Muqeet, Mohammed Maqbool, and Abdul Wahaj—we are reaching out with heavy hearts to seek your support for the family of our dear friend, Masoom Ali Faraz, who tragically passed away at the young age of 31.
Faraz was a dedicated Data Engineer Consultant in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and a proud permanent resident of Canada since 2016. His sudden and untimely passing has left his family in deep grief. Faraz fell ill unexpectedly last Thursday and was rushed to the hospital, where, despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals, he suffered three cardiac arrests on Friday evening. The cause of his passing is still under investigation, and we await the final medical report.
Faraz leaves behind his loving parents, his devoted wife, and two very young children—just 3 and 1 years old—along with his sisters and many dear friends. His immediate family resides in Sangareddy, Hyderabad, India, and, due to circumstances, they could not be by his side in his final moments. Thanks to the collective efforts of friends and the community here, we were able to perform his funeral rites in Canada.
As the sole breadwinner, Faraz worked tirelessly to provide for his family. However, as an independent contractor, he did not have insurance coverage to support his family during such a devastating event. His family is now facing not only the overwhelming emotional toll of his loss but also significant financial and legal challenges. In the weeks ahead, they will require assistance with immigration processes, legal formalities, and support to eventually travel to Canada to honor his memory.
Faraz was more than a son, husband, and father—he was a kind and generous spirit who touched the lives of everyone around him. While we cannot ease the pain of his loss, we can come together to provide his family with the financial support they so urgently need during this trying time.
We kindly ask for your help. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping Faraz’s family navigate this difficult journey. Your generosity will truly make a difference.
For any questions or additional information, please feel free to reach out to any of Wasim Akram, Syed Jameel, Abdul Muqeet, Mohammed Maqbool, Abdul Wahaj, and myself at [email redacted].
Thank you for standing with us and for extending your compassion and support to Faraz’s family in their time of need.
Sincerely,
Wasim Akram
