Support for the Family of Michael Wolters
Donation protected
My name is Gina Goodwin and I am a long-time friend of The Wolters Family. I was friends with Michael and Eva each separately before they found each other and have remained in their lives through marriage. We have raised children alongside each other and I am heartbroken at the loss of our dear "brother", Michael.
Michael passed away last Thursday, August 25th, at just 48 years old after unexpectedly spending weeks in the ICU at Froedtert Hospital and about 28 hours in a Hospice Facility. At the time of his passing, he did not carry any Life Insurance or have any assets that will be liquidated to help care for his children or plan for their future. This is an unfortunate reality of a life gone too soon.
While I know all too well that each family has their own story and struggle, I am also a firm believer of stepping up and standing behind our family and friends when they need us the most. While Michael was in hospice, unable to respond, I not only thanked him for the years of love and memories but I promised him that I would help take care of his family, especially his children. I am honoring those words by asking my family and friends and anyone this may reach to please consider a donation. Medical bills will only be the beginning and there will be many. I am hoping that this fund will help offset those costs. Additionally, Eva is now a single mom of two young children, 11 and 13, raising them on one salary with nothing to fall back on.
Many of you have asked how you can help and I think that this will be the best way to ensure that medical bills can be paid and that his children will continue to have the quality of life and opportunities they once had before and deserve now more than ever.
For those of you who know Michael, you know that he would be beyond grateful for us taking care of his family.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your generosity and support.
