Support for the Family of Nandi Perry
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 16th, Nandi Perry lost her life to violence in East Oakland, leaving behind her mother, Alexia and two brothers, Nairobi, 14 years old and Naasim Hero, 6 months. Nandi was Alexia's only daughter.
Nandi was a beautiful young woman who was optimistic and wanted so much for herself and her family. She was brilliant, strong, independent, funny and loving. Nandi had a big heart, was a nurturer and cared deeply about others. She would do anything to support a friend and had a big heart for animals.
Nandi was only 16 and had her whole life ahead of her. She recently got a job with Youth Employment Partnerships (YEP) and over the last year was working with the Young Women's Freedom Center to get back on track with school. She wanted nothing more than to be independent and self-sufficient so that she can help her mother who she loved very much.
This couldn't have come at a worse time. In addition to trying to take care of a new baby, and trying to stay safe and healthy, she now has to lay her only daughter to rest. We are trying to raise funds to alleviate some of this stress and to help mama focus on her and her kids and grieve without worrying about groceries, bills, transportation and rent for a few months.
Please give what you can and please share.
