On behalf of MDFR Class 97 and the MDFR family, we share the devastating news of the unexpected passing of Tim Burgs a dedicated firefighter, loving husband, devoted father, and cherished friend. For 21 years, he served Miami-Dade Fire Rescue with unwavering commitment, always answering the call to help others in their most desperate moments. His loyalty to his crew, love for his community, and passion for the job were unmatched.

Beyond the firehouse, Tim was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water and joy in sharing that passion with family and friends. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and quiet strength someone you could always count on, both on and off the job.

Now, in the wake of this unimaginable loss, Tim leaves behind his beloved wife and their young child. As they navigate this heartbreaking journey, we want to stand beside them, just as Tim stood beside so many in their times of need.
