Support for Ryan Ferguson and Family
Donation protected
We're reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for support as Ryan and Tracia Ferguson and their three sons face a challenging and unforeseen journey.
On July 23rd, 2022, after Ryan had experienced a host of inexplicable symptoms for numerous days, Tracia insisted she take him to a nearby emergency room to be evaluated by a physician. Following a myriad of tests, it was then that they received the unexpected news that Ryan had two tumors in his brain.
Ryan was transferred immediately to UIC, and on July 27th, 2022, he underwent a surgical procedure to remove the tumors, subsequently diagnosed as Grade 4 Glioblastomas—a highly aggressive form of cancer. Remarkably, the doctor was able to completely excise both tumors without encountering any complications, and Ryan recovered well. Following his hospital stay, Ryan was started on a course of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and had regular medical appointments and tests to monitor his health.
In March of 2023, however, Ryan developed worsening symptoms, and he received disheartening news that two new tumors had emerged - this time in a location of the brain where they cannot be surgically removed. Ryan, along with his family and medical team, are confronting this enemy head-on, relying on a multifaceted approach comprised of chemotherapy, radiation, and other recently developed treatments.
While insurance helps cover a portion of the mounting medical expenses, we all know how swiftly those bills can accumulate. Ryan and Tracia are also grappling with the new financial burdens brought about by Ryan's inability to work. Our shared goal is to offer them financial relief, enabling their sole focus to be on their family and Ryan's path to recovery. Your donation will contribute to covering medical expenses not encompassed by insurance, daily household bills, and provide Tracia with the flexibility to be by Ryan's side as he bravely faces this battle.
Your prayers and positive thoughts are equally appreciated. As humble servants of God, the Fergusons unwaveringly place their faith in His guidance through this challenging time. They are profoundly thankful for the presence of each and every person God has placed in their lives to uplift and sustain them.
From the depths of our hearts, we express gratitude for any support you can provide to bolster Ryan, Tracia, and their sons during this trying journey. Please consider sharing this fundraiser with anyone you know who may wish to extend their help as well.
Updates on Ryan's progress will be shared in the coming weeks and months.
