Support for the Gorman family

This Christmas was incredibly hard for my family, as this was the first Christmas that my sister-in-law Dawn wasn't home to celebrate with her husband and their three boys. My brother Jay instead took Logan (15), Aiden (12), and Ean (11) to the hospital on Christmas morning to visit their mom. This was their last Christmas together, as Dawn passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 28th. Jay and his three boys are absolutely heartbroken after this devastating loss.
Dawn was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in the spring of 2016. She handled every hurdle she faced with grace and strength and fought so hard to extend her time here on earth with her family. She endured radiation, chemotherapy, clinical trials, and plenty of discomfort. She defied so many odds. She fought until her body was simply too weak and too tired to endure any more. Even when her body started to give up, Dawn's mind did not. Her main priority has always been to give her sons a beautiful life full of laughter, joy, and so much love. Throughout Dawn's cancer journey, she remained an active mother, ensuring her sons excelled in school and treated one another with respect at home. The values Dawn instilled in Logan, Aiden, and Ean are something they will carry with them throughout their lives.
Jay and Dawn met through mutual friends back in their teenage years and started dating in 2004. They married on December 31st, 2005, making 2021 the year of their 17th wedding anniversary. He is doing everything in his power to remain strong for his boys and give them the support they need. As we all know, funeral expenses can become overwhelming at a time when families are already facing so much confusion and anguish. Many people have reached out wanting to know how they can support Jay and the boys. With this in mind, I set this fundraiser up for my brother. If the goal is reached or exceeded, the remaining funds will go towards helping Jay cover bills and expenses as he adjusts to this new life without his beloved wife.
We thank each and every donor and those who share this fundraiser. Any support is deeply appreciated and Jay extends his gratitude to all who have sent prayers, food, or support of any kind. Thank you all.
We love you, Dawn!
