Support for the Kamran Family

Dad “When will you play with us again?”

That was the question, the little innocent Usman and his sister Zainab continued to ask their dad at every visit to the long-term care facility where their dad was in coma for around 5 years struggling to join the family back, could never answer. Elder brother Abdullah felt the deficiency of dad but stayed tight lipped unlike the young ones.  The mother Zaib continued to pray to the Almighty for the recovery of her companion and for the retrieval of successful and peaceful family life they were enjoying together. She desperately wished the kids childhood must not be deprived of the love and confidence that the fatherly hood could provide.

The Almighty had different plans for all of the family, sadly Kamran had to leave the life train at a station prior to destination.  …. that was “the will of God” and we all bow to it….“Surely we belong to the Almighty and to Him shall we return”

Late Kamran completed his master’s degree from UBC and he was working as an engineer in Calgary. He was enjoying his successful and peaceful life with his wife and three wonderful and loving kids. He was the only breadwinner for the family. The stay home wife was taking care of the family without knowing any fears how the future will look like as her strong partner made her feel like that.  Besides taking care of kids and family she was also perusing her carrier steadily watching her kids grow. The life drastically changed about 5 years ago when suddenly Kamran went in coma and could never recover and passed away on Feb. 13, 2021.

He was not only a role model for his kids but also he was a community figure, a symbol of unity, a help provider and trouble-shooter, a go to person and a dedicated volunteer. It was a big loss for the community and the hole he left will stay unfilled.

Though the Almighty has His own plans for the family but the tragedy has created big challenges for the family that mainly include but not limited to emotional and financial. The immediate financial challenges are funeral expenses, living expenses, kids education and home mortgage which were not an issue in the near past but are big in the future. The grieved mom has to cope up with the tragedy herself, provide comfort and care to her kids and look for job, which does not sound very easy in this tragic situation and global pandemic and nobody knows how long it will take.

We as family friends cannot fulfill the gap He had left but can try to curb it by extending our shoulder. To keep the success of the family going the immediate challenge is the financial one, which at least we can share. Hence, we strongly recommend and request to participate in sharing the financial challenge and show our dedication and love to the family to keep their success story on track. All your support will directly go to the grieved mother and her name is listed here in the fund as a beneficiary. Thanks

May Kamran’s soul rest in eternal peace and bless the family with patience. (Aamin)
