Supporting Lauren (Bern) Britton & Family
On Sunday, February 7th, Lauren (Bern) Britton suffered a very serious brain aneurysm and hemorrhage at home. Soon after being rushed to the hospital, Lake Marie was born at Swedish Medical in Denver.
Over the first few days of Lake's life, Josh and Lauren's parents spent time with Lauren and Lake at the hospital. During this time, Lauren was able to spend time with and care for Lake. As her condition improved, so did optimism that Lauren would make a faster than expected recovery.
Friday, February 12th, Lauren went into the operating room to undergo a procedure to check and repair the aneurysm. The long procedure went well but as Lauren began the recovery process, she suffered a significant stroke. Currently, Lauren is being monitored closely by the amazing team at Swedish.
Over the next weeks and months, it will be essential that Lake, Lauren, and Josh are able to heal and bond, without monetary concerns. Your support here will be applied directly to the day-to-day needs of the family including food, house cleaning, care for Lake, support for bills while Josh takes a leave from his job, and the numerous medical costs forthcoming. As we learn more, we will post periodic updates here.
Please share with friends and family yearning to help this sweet family.
Thank you for your support,
Molly Stuhlsatz and Rebecca Marshall-Peel
