Support for the LeClair Family

If you have stepped foot in the Lodi Public Library, you've likely been greeted by a smiling Alex LeClair at the front desk. Or maybe you've seen him working his tail off to get Story Time set up in Habermann Park on Wednesdays during the summer! :)

It's impossible to put into words how much Alex has done for our library and our community. He's implemented an impressive and constantly-growing Summer Reading Program to help keep our kids engaged and reading during those summer months, arranged many educational performances and shows in the park, read and sang to our kids each Wednesday - rain or shine, hosted movie nights, game nights and book discussions...and that's not including the countless hours of work that's done behind the scenes.

Alex has so much love for our library, our kids, and our community. Now, it's our turn to show him our support. Alex's wife, Kamie, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. While they are still searching for the best path forward as far as treatments or pain management, the cancer has been found in her ovary, hip, lung and spine.

Alex is understandably taking time off from work to be with his wife as they navigate this new path. With that comes a financial strain of covering upcoming medical bills, providing meals and covering the loss of income when Kamie is no longer able to work due to the advancement of the cancer.

Lodi is an amazing community that protects and supports its people. No amount is too small and is very much appreciated by Alex, Kamie and their son Henry.
