for the Martinez family
Marisol's son Alex Martinez Jr. was in a tragic car accident on 1/21/17. He was trying to avoid hitting two cars stopped on the freeway that had been in an accident. He lost control of the car, it spun and hit a tree. Alex suffered traumautic brain injury that included trauma to the frontal occipital lobe and bleeding of the right temporal lobe, fractures to his thoracic and cervical vertebrae. He was in the ICU at Sierra Vista Hospital where Marisol and Alex Sr. stayed by his side. He was stabilized and then transferred to Santa Barbara Cottage Rehab for a few weeks. He has made great progress and is now walking and his speech continues to improve. He still has a long road ahead of him. He will soon be transferred to a rehabilitation place in Goleta that will focus on improving his cognitive abilities. Once he shows improvement there the plan is to discharge him to home where he will need medical equipment support to continue to support his progress.
Marisol and Alex Sr. have been unable to fully return to work, as they commute to be by his side. They both travel back and forth during the week and stay over the weekends. Needless to say all these expenses and bills are pilling up. I'm asking for help with donations to assist in alleviate some of their financial burden. They would be very grateful. She has also has a catastrophic leave bank for those of you available to donate time. Prayers, good vibes and thoughts are also appreciated very much.
Thanks friends.
