Support for McCloskey Family (MaryJean Jacobi)
Donation protected
On December 12th our beloved Mimi/MaryJean/MJ McCloskey entered the hospital with an array of mild symptoms, including disorientation and slurred speech. Over the next 12 hours, this normally vibrant and energetic person would slip into a state of minimal consciousness. After many tests and scans, Mimi was diagnosed with a rare paraneoplastic syndrome arising from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Mimi has shown her strength over the last four months - beating cancer, COVID and multiple infections - but she has only regained limited functioning.
We are starting this page to support her immediate family with the tremendous medical bills associated with her treatments, extended hospital stay, continued care and potential recovery. The next few weeks are critical in determining her prognosis.
We are thankful for any support as the family navigates this rare disease. Any funds collected that exceed the amount of medical bills will be donated to research on rare neurologic conditions and brain trauma.
