Support for the Mendez Family in Texas

Update:

It is with a heavy heart that Enrique's family announced his passing yesterday, January 10th. His wife, Claudia reported that he did not suffer and was not in any pain. She sends her many thanks for the continued prayers, love, and support from the community.

Per Enrique's request, there will not be a funeral but rather a celebration of his life.

He leaves behind a loving family and so many beloved friends. May his memory be a blessing.

Our friend and colleague, Enrique Mendez, has been fighting for his life against cancer. Enrique underwent multiple treatments in the Austin area but progressed to needing a higher level of care, which he could only receive in Houston. His cancer went into remission for a brief time, but this year cancer returned with a vengeance.

His wife, Claudia, has been driving to and from Austin and Houston to be by Enrique’s side. She has been an irreplaceable source of comfort and strength for Enrique. Claudia recently had to discontinue her visits out of a need to work to make ends meet. We want to help Enrique and his family be together during this challenging chapter in their lives.
