Support for the Miller family house fire
Donation protected
On April 27, Jason Miller received a call that would change his life:
“You need to come home, your house is on fire.”
Terrified, and sick with anxiety Jason rushed down his street in Burlington to find the family home that he shares with his wife Ashley, son Brayden (3), daughter Alecey (6 mo.) and their cat, engulfed in flames.
Thankfully, his worst fear was avoided. No one was injured in the fire, even their cat was rescued by the Burlington fire department.
The fire, smoke and water damage are extensive. All their belongings were destroyed. Armed with only the clothes on their backs, full of uncertainty, Jason and Ashley packed up their two small children and moved into a temporary home while they try to make sense of their future.
As if a house fire is not stressful enough, only 6 weeks ago their Burlington home was sold. With the closing date only a few weeks away, their plans to move into the dream home they purchased in Trenton are all up in the air.
Jason needs our help. Ashley, Brayden and Alecey need our help.
The Miller family has been overwhelmed with the outpour of donations they have already received; clothing, toys, food, even items for their cat, but it is not enough.
Faced with legal issues, insurance hurdles, and a temporary housing situation, uncertainty about their future home in Trenton, they are struggling to pick up the pieces.
Any donations you can spare to help the Miller family are appreciated. Our goal of $10,000 is to provide Jason and Ashley with some temporary relief while they get back on their feet. Providing some stability for their young family is of utmost importance as they navigate the difficult road ahead.
They are continuing to accept donations of childrens clothing (boys size 4-5, 9+ month infant), toys, food, gift cards. Every little bit helps.
It is difficult to imagine ourselves in the same situation. And in these uncertain times, we are thankful for the community of support around us. Friends, family, colleagues, NAPA Autopro partners, we are calling on you to do what you can to for our dear friend Jason and his family.
Thank you,
