On Tuesday, Jan. 30, Janell and Ira Myrick faced the unimaginable — the sudden and tragic loss of their son, 16-year-old Anthony.

Anthony was a source of great comfort and joy for the family. A talented musician, he brought fun and laughter to many a neighborhood gathering and was beloved by his jazz and marching band peers at school. Janell and Ira, and their boys, are known for their compassion and willingness to drop everything to lend a hand to a friend, neighbor, and their local school communities — and many have reached out to see how they can support the Myricks at this difficult time.
