Support for the Norbu family

Last week the St. Thomas More’s School community learned of the passing of one of our dearly treasured year 6 students Tanisa Norbu. The love, laughter, joy and creative talent that Tanisa brought to her family, friends and everyone around her will never be forgotten.

Members of our community have been reaching out and asking how they can help Tanisa's family during this most difficult time. Tenzin, Sara and Raiya are devastated at this time, and we would love to be able to show our love and support to this beautiful family by taking away the burden of worrying about expenses.

Sara and Tenzin are lovely, humble, and generous people who are very good at helping others in need. They felt very reluctant to want to accept help from a go-fund-me page; however, when we relayed the amount of support our community would like to offer them, they humbly accepted.

Your kindness is very much appreciated, and we thank you for your donations. These donations will allow Tanisa’s family to mourn for the period that they would like to and to spend their time with Tanisa, and to honour her wish to see Cooper Bench flourish.

Another way of supporting the family is by visiting Copper Bench Cafe when they are ready to reopen, and supporting Copper Bench and their new venture Pow Bao on DoorDash and Menulog. Tanisa always loved to tell everyone at school about Copper Bench, especially the chocolate brownies.
