Support for the Ozaki Family

Friends and Family,

My name is Darla and I am a friend of the Ozaki family. Please pray and consider supporting them during what is proving to be an extremely difficult time for them while Ross is hospitalized with a very serious, life threatening condition.

Below is an explanation and update from his daughters who are staying vigilant with their mom by his side.

Aloha, ohana ❤️ On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, dad went to the ER for severe abdominal pain. He was admitted, where they discovered a clot blocking his portal vein, keeping fluid from properly draining from his body.

He had a procedure called TIPS, which redirected blood to make sure that continued unobstructed, and the doctors were able to remove most of the clot.

Unfortunately, the fluid has not drained from his body naturally in recovery. This has placed him at risk for organ failure. His doctors are concerned about his condition due to several other chronic illnesses.

You all know my dad. You’ve probably eaten his food, shave ice, or delicious Japanese char siu bao at debate tournaments, church events, sporting events, etc. To be honest, my dad has been in pain for pretty much all of my life. Despite that, he is the most cheerful and hilarious guy I know. He loves his family & friends, and he HATES asking for help. Classic Ross.

We would sincerely appreciate any support you can lend our family. Money from this fund will go towards medical bills, unpaid leave my sister & I may need to take, and unexpected expenses. We can’t wait to bring him home.
