My name is Chebby Villarreal and I’m a close friend of the Paquin Family. I have known Alex and his family since elementary school. We quickly became good friends and spent lots of timewith each other’s family. We graduated high school together, both went on to the University of Minnesota- Duluth, I was in his wedding, then he was in mine, and I am also one of his son’s Godparents. Needless to say, over the years, I have also spent a lot of time with Bonnie and Andy.
I’m starting a GoFundMe to help Alex and family with funeral expenses for his brother Andy who passed on 12/20/23 and also for medical and care expenses associated with Alex’s mother Bonnie who had a stroke and remains in the hospital. Bonnie had her stroke on 12/16/23 while
visiting Andy in the hospital during his last days and she will remain in the hospital and need a high level of care for quite some time.
Alex’s brother Andy was admitted to the Essentia Hospital in Fargo on November 30 th . After being there a week, it became evident Andy’s condition was more serious and his organs were shutting down. The medical staff initially gave Andy weeks to months to live, however his
organs rapidly shut down and Andy passed away on 12/20/23 after 20 days in the hospital.
While Bonnie was visiting Andy in the hospital on 12/16/23 she had a stroke and also had to be admitted to the hospital. The medical team worked quickly and were able to remove a clot in the Basilar Artery but Bonnie remains in the Intensive Care Unit and has some struggles ahead. The Paquins could use our support at this difficult time. There have been and will be expenses related to Bonnie’s care in Fargo. In addition, there are expenses related to cremation and funeral service arrangements for Andy. Alex and family have been so appreciative of everyone
who has reached out with prayers, love, and support. We ask that you consider helping financially if you are able to ease some of the burden during this time and the days ahead.
