Support for the Pattersons

Donation protected
*UPDATE*

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Ashleigh and Tyler as well as donating financially to help with the rising costs of their medical bills. They are extremely grateful and humbled by all the love and support they have received.

Tuesday morning, Tyler had a stroke and was taken by ambulance to the hospital. They found a blood clot on his brain. The doctors were able to remove the blood clot and he is recovering  at Emory...just a few floors away from Ashleigh’s hospital room. This has been an extremely difficult week for them both.  Ashleigh is patiently awaiting her new lung and has been so strong through this all. Please continue to pray for  peace and that God’s presence would  surround them.

Ashleigh and her husband Tyler have been married for 9 years, and in that time, have invested in the lives of hundreds of people.  Everyone who knows them, loves them, and they love those they know.

Ashleigh suffers from a disease called, Cystic Fibrosis.  CF is a disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system.  6 years ago, Ashleigh had a full lung transplant.  Over the last few weeks, Ashleigh's lung function began to decrease and she could feel within her that something just wasn't right.  After a few evaluations, tests and an extensive hospital stay, it is apparent that Ashleigh's body is now in rejection.

When you are an organ recipient, every day is a miracle.  Each passing day where your body does not reject that which has been gifted to you at the sacrifice of another is an incredible gift.  Unfortunately, Ashleigh's gift is no longer working, and another lung transplant is necessary.

This entire process turns your life upside down.  Ashleigh and Tyler will be breaking their lease, so they can move as close to the hospital as possible.  Through numerous over night stays, endless tests, and lots of prayer, Ashleigh has qualified for a single lung transplant.  As you can imagine, these changes, long hours and many days in the hospital, and the entire procedure will be and continues to be a long and expensive process.

For those who are interested in helping and supporting Ashleigh and Tyler during this time we are asking for two things: 1) prayer and 2) financial support.  Any and all of both will be greatly appreciated, and will go a long way in support of this amazing couple.
