Thank you for taking the time to read my story. For the past 13 yrs I've been fortunate enough to have been able to provide for my family by doing what I truly love, playing music and celebrating special events with entertainment for friends and family.
On December 22, 2023 all of that changed drastically when I was involved in a horrific car accident. 2 weeks in the hospital undergoing 2 major surgeries on a shattered ankle and fractured tibia. Plates/Screws/Rods - Along with many other small injuries - I'm still immobilized - limited to wheelchair/walker/crutches until I'm cleared to start walking and resuming work.
We have faced many challenges in the days after the accident - learning to overcome the hurdles of caring for someone in need of 24 hr supervision was difficult the first month.
We had to convert the basement into a hospital room to ensure the easiest and best solution to being discharged.
Having mobility restrictions kills me. All of you know how much I love to be active, constantly on the go from gig to gig makes me happy. Working hard for my family is both fulfilling and rewarding - I hope to have the ability to continue doing what I love again.
The accident was terrifying- being completely unaware of what's about to happen then you're in an ambulance waiting to see how bad things are. I remember the way my leg went completely numb and I couldn't feel anything or move it from the shock.
They had to cut off my boots and my clothes - the bones were sticking out of my leg. All i can think about was not dying so I could see my wife and tell my family I loved them.
In the ER they had to push the bones back in almost immediately upon arrival. The amount of pain was undescribable. There was so much blood on the floor it looked like a swimming pool - an image I can never forget.
I'm trying my best under these extreme circumstances to remain positive and look ahead to better days. I was performing at my best before this happened. Sharing music with all of you and creating life long friendships has been an amazing experience.
I decided to ask for help from my community even though I've been fighting the urge to start a fundraiser because of pride. I've gotten over that with the help of so many family and friends.
Your help and contributions will mean a lot.
Helping with hospital bills, services, PT,
Replacing all the gear that was destroyed,
And help with the upcoming months of uncertainty - not knowing if ill need more surgeries and still be unable to work.
Thank you so much for reading this,
And for donating to help me make a comeback. I am forever grateful for all of you.
I hope to get back to taking your requests and making you laugh as soon as I can.
Until then, I will continue to work hard on my recovery doing whatever I can to make an unbelievable comeback.
